timing
It is recommended that maternity photography sessions are held at around 34-37 weeks. This timing allows us to capture a beautiful round belly, but also plenty of time to avoid your baby arriving before we have a chance to meet.

Maternity sessions held on location are more often than not, held in the late evening, at the gorgeous golden hour, right before the sunsets. Soft, light images of your family enjoying a warm afternoon or a freezing cold evening, enjoying the fresh cool breeze.

You are welcome to visit the studio and view our range of print options, samples of wall art and albums that you can touch, feel and get a sense for how you'd best like your maternity portraits displayed.

duration
Your session will run for approximately 60-90 minutes. This time frame will vary with each family, but I tend not to watch the clock. If everyone is enjoying themselves, the weather is playing my game and I seeing some beautiful moments, I tend to just keep going.

when to book
It is ideal that you contact me somewhere around the end of your second trimester to schedule a date for your maternity session. My schedule does book up months in advance, so planning ahead as best you can will help to avoid disappointment.
